STORY
The story revolves around the life of a rich business man Ranbeer Talwar (Saif Ali Khan) and four orphan children who are forced to stay with Ranbeer by the order of a court verdict. Ranbeer has unfortunately lost his beloved ones and living alone for the time being. But these orphan children hate him and do not want to stay with him. Ranbeer, too, is not very fond of them and avoids even eye contact with them.
One day, children pray to god to free them from the unpleasant condition of staying with Ranbeer and the god sends angel Geeta(Rani Mukerji) on a mission to unite the orphans and Ranbeer. Geeta is a childlike, lovely angel, who comes cycling down a rainbow to Ranbeer’s house and starts acting like a new nanny to the children. What happens after Geeta enters the house and how she handles the situation forms the remaining part of the film.

PERFORMANCE
Saif Ali Khan has done a terrific job and looks natural in the character of Ranbeer Talwar Saif’s interaction with the kids in the second half is especially worth mentioning and takes the film to another level. Saif’s way of bonding with each kid individually is just superb.
Rani Mukerji, in the part of Geeta, does a fair job and fully justifies her casting in the role. Her effort at winning the love and affection of kids looks very good. However, her dress needed more attention from the director.
Ameesha Patel’s character seems to be just an add on and does not contribute to the progress of the story. Nonetheless, she looks sexy in the number ‘Lazy Lamhe’ and makes most of it.
The child artistes have done superbly in the film and the kid who has enacted the role of a Sikh is especially adorable. His act of ‘Main Nikla Gadi Leke’ from Sunny Deol’s Gadar looks very entertaining. Rishi Kapoor passes the muster, while others provide able support to the main cast of the film.
The direction of Kunal Kohli has matured over the years and he has shown this quality in relating this simple, uncomplicated story with dexterity. The director is not only successful in extracting the best from Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji, but also from the little kids who are the real heroes of this film. Kunal Kohli has used emotional scenes to move the audiences, but in a very subtle way without resorting to usual rona dhona, associated with family films.

However, the music from Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is not up to the mark and fails to enthuse the audience. Only one number ‘Pyaar Ke Liye’ is likely to be popular with the masses. The cinematography by Sudeep Chatterjee is good and the audience would love it.
STARDUST VERDICT
The film has been made with the aim of providing simple and clean entertainment to the family audiences and is likely to succeed in that at multiplexes. However, at single screen theatres and at smaller centers, where demand is more for action and sex, it is likely to face a slow start. A good fare.
